01. What do we do if it rains on the day of our session?
We understand that weather can be unpredictable, which is why our contract includes a “weather window” clause. This allows us to adjust your session time by up to 4 hours on the scheduled day to work around any inclement weather. If rain completely washes us out during that timeframe, we will do our best to reschedule your session at the earliest available date. Your photos are important to us, and we want to ensure you have the best possible conditions for your session!
02. Is my retainer non-refundable?
Yes, the retainer is non-refundable. It secures your booking and guarantees that your photographer’s time and services are exclusively reserved for you on your chosen date. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please review our cancellation policy for any applicable options or fees.
03. Why do you shoot at sunset?
We schedule sessions around sunset because this time, known as “golden hour,” provides the most flattering and beautiful lighting for your photos. The soft, warm light creates a natural glow, reduces harsh shadows, and enhances skin tones, making for stunning, timeless images. Shooting at this time also allows for more creative and dynamic backdrops, as the sky often displays gorgeous colors. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible lighting to make your photos truly stand out!
04. can I do an outfit change during my session?
Yes, you are welcome to do an outfit change! However, please keep in mind that there are no restrooms or changing facilities in the national park, so you may need to change in your car or a discreet outdoor spot. Also, outfit changes will take time away from your session, which means you may receive fewer photos than normal. If you’d like to maximize your time in front of the camera, we recommend keeping outfit changes quick and simple!
